incoming calls are ringing in the receivers and receptionis desk 1

We have a nortel norstar phone system, and for two weeks now, all incoming calls to a direct dial in line rings in both the receptionist desk (Main Number) and the receivers workstation For example: Our main number is 794-6500 and 6539 is an extension, but you can call 6539 directly by dialing 794-6539, then the both phones ring. Everything was working fine until two weeks ago, and this only happens from incoming calls from the outside, not if you dial an internal extension

Go into programming by dial Feature ** 266344
pswd 266344
if you see Terminals and Sets press the show button.
(once you go into programming you will see 3 arrows on your phone the first arrow on the right is the show key the 2nd arrow on the right is the next key and the only arrow on the left is the back key
So press show
then you will see show set enter the receptionist ext. #
Then press show again keep pressing show until you see Show line press the scan key, and make sure the right numbers are set up on the receptionist phone. Then go to the other extension and do the same thing. Make sure that the line in question is not set up on both phones. Let me know if this works M.Parnell
