Incoming call list not showing on phone

Hi

We have a phone that is not displaying the incoming call numbers in the call log on the phone. outgoing is shown but the incoming tab does not exsist. it shows on other phones.

I have been informed that it is on calls to ddi and to huntgroup but this is being clarified. Am i right in thinking that huntgroup calls wouldnt show anyway? And even so the tab would still be there wouldnt it?

When you say Tabs that sounds like phone manager. If so you need to goto

View > Preferences > Phone Manager. The Phone Manager window opens

the check that the tick box is on the incoming calss

On the phone select Option>Log Setup and select Yes for the unanswered log.

apparently the phone is set to yes on all of the options in logsetup yet no incoming calls log. customer has confirmed this is on all phones not just one.

??
 
What type of lines? If analog do you have loop start delay set?
 
They are using a PRI30 card.

Please give us the softwareversions the IPOffice and the phone types. This could be a known issue, but difficult to search without the version/type numbers.
 
I got the answer to this today.

The incoming call list is only displayed if you have line appearance keys setup. these had been removed or were not created by default!

One to remember i guess....

Why do you not know the softwareversion of the ipo ?
If you are a good tech you already should have known
You could have connected to the system already to check it
Also never ever trust a customers experience !
Always see it with your own eyes

We are one of the support desks in a chain and the company closest to the customer did not provide remote access and were foreigners to sa the least. getting info was prety difficult to say the least.

Software version seemed pretty irrelevant in this case and proved to be. In any other case relating to an IP406 fault for example then I would have obtaned software versions asap.

being a good tech guy doesnt purely resolve around finding software version.

If you were an ACS tech you would have known the answer. Im not the one specifying im ACS level in my sgnature.

true but it would be the second thing i would check
So i did do a check for you without knowing the software version
So i could be very wrong

ps this has nothing to do with being an ACS

Its not missed calls that were the problem it was incoming received. (although missed prob werent showing either)

No offence taken. Thanks for doing the check. It turns out the version is 3.2(59) so you ill give you that one ;-)
