IP Office 6.0.18. I have a customer that wants their incoming calls to ring to their 2 front office phones first, then be answered by an AA that provides options for direct or dial by name. I have the AA built and tested but I can't get the incoming calls to route to the AA as the secondary destination. When I place the AA as the primary, it answers and works fine, the problem only occurs when the AA is secondary.
When I test it as the incoming caller, I hear the call ring 4 times, then I hear a series of beeps. They sound like generic on hold tones... beep beep... pause for a few seconds.... beep beep.... then after a while, the call routes to voice mail. While listening to the "hold beep beep", the front office phones are still ringing and can answer the call at any time.
Are AA's prohibited from being the secondary incoming call destination?

Do you have voimail pro?
If yes the enable announcements and set it to one second.
Then make a condition with a compare in it.
Value A = $timesystem.
Greater or equal to
Value B = 10 seconds.

Then go to the group queued action and add a test condition.
Connect the true part to the AA.

When you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

i would make a hunt group for those 2 phones and then build the AA in VMPRO for that huntgroup.

Buttheads don't fancy trainings and no reading either, if i tell what Buttheads do like i will be blacklisted here for life;)

I have the embedded voice mail. VM Pro is something different isn't it?

I tried to create a different extension and forward calls unconditionally to the AA but that didn't work either. I also tried to create a new hunt group the only includes the AA but I don't think the embedded VM allows this since I couldn't find an option to add the AA to the hunt group.

In this situation I do next:

1. Create second Hunt Group. VM disabled.
2. Create short code to dial AA. something like 600. Test it. You should get AA when you dial 600.
3. Create "dummy" user and forward all calls to 600
4. Add this user to second group twice. Set Group Ring Mode to Sequential.
5. Add second group to overflow for first hunt group
6. Adjust overflow time as you need

Remember, that Embedded VM doesn't have ability to do something automatically. Users need to push buttons to get Directory, Transfers, etc.

Kolob4all - I'll give it a shot. how does adjusting overflow time affect call handling?

That worked! Thanks.
I figured out the overflow time.
