I read once somewhere that apache can be configured to include a file at the start or end of all pages. I was wondering how this can be configured and if it can be done through an htaccess file.

If you want to include them in all pages, or want to include more than just header and footer, then you will need SSI ( Server Side Includes ). In that case start with the "Apache Tutorial: Introduction to Server Side Includes".

Yes, it can include a header ( see [tt]HeaderName[/tt] ) and a footer ( see [tt]ReadmeName[/tt] ) into the generated index pages.crazybeans128 said:
