Not sure if I'm in the right forum but here goes. I recently mapped my mailbox at work from my SBS 2003 Exchange server to my home computer while up on a VPN connection. Worked great, getting mail to my inbox at home.

But now back at work I see my subfolders under Inbox but my inbox is empty. I need help to remap it I guess. I thought I saw a message when I was setting this up at home about redirecting my inbox or some such. Another example of needing to read more carefully.

Any help would be appreciated.

Update: My email IS updating at work. Apparently outlook just moved all of my inbox content to my home PC instead of copying.

Any ideas for recovery back to work?

Thank you.

Any experience with a problem like this?

Change the delivery from personal folders to mailbox then drag and drop the emails back to the mailbox.

Can you please explain where I can change the delivery from personal folders to mailbox? Thank you.

Depends on what outlook client you are using. If your using Outlook 2003, it's under Tools-Options "Mail Setup" tab. Click the "E-mail Accounts" button. Select "View or change existing e-mail accounts" and click next. That should bring up the "E-mail Accounts" box. On the bottom of that window should be "Deliver new e-mail to the following location" Make sure that it's your mailbox and not a pst.

Ah, thanks irbk. I see that it says my mailbox. And I am currently getting email to my inbox...new email. Anything that WAS in my inbox is now only visible at home. I'm thinking not too many people have seen this problem and although minor is just annoying.

If you're using a VPN, can I ask why you're even using a .pst on your home machine?
