Anyone know how go give some one permission to view all inbox throught the mailserver...I have been trying thru the exchange administator and adding a permission through recipents. Basically the president want to be able to open any & everyones email, and I am trying to get him acces to this through exchange (do it globaly) instead of going thru each individual user mail box.

Give your boss Service Account Admin permisions and he can access anybody's inbox.

I agree with N0ktar however I'd check the legality of what your boss wants to do.

Where I am it can't be done without at least 48 hours prior notice to the user and then only in certain circumstances. We can check spam filter logs, event logs, etc. as long as they do not provide any more information than To:, From:, Subject:, and the routing information.

Cheers.

I did a 'Service Account Admin' on on Friday at the 'configuration properties' & permissions; I beleive that is what you are talking about. I also tried it under 'Recipents properties' ..And is still says "Unable to display the folder. The inbox caould not be found." After the PC logged back onto the network this morning, and the server got rebooted over the weekend. Am I in the right areas on exchange?
