In using Outlook 2000 on an XP Pro

In using Outlook 2000 on an XP Pro machine, when trying to open a RECURRING calendar item I get the following error:

"Can't open this item. The appointment is no longer reoccurring. Close any open items and try again."

I've been all thru microsoft knowledgebase as well as other support forums. It only occurs on recurring calendar items and not non recurring ones. Anyone have any suggestions?

Your issue, on its face, does not seem like an XP OS issue.
