I have a server running CF 4.5.

An application on it has dynamic index files located in directories. I would like these index files to have htm extensions to make them visible to the users. The index files should process directory contents dynamically. I have tested the indexes and they work with cfm extensions.

I don't want users to see my cfm files and I'm using masking to hide any files with cfm extensions.

I renamed the index files to htm extensions. When I did this they were not processed through the CF Server.

Is it possible to run htm files through the CF 4.5 server?

Thanks!

Yes -- it depends on what web server you are running though. In IIS, you can open up your Home directory, go into Configuration and under the application mappings, and create a new one to point to .htm (copy the setup for the .cfm extension to make it easier).

What I would also suggest is that if you are going to do this, rename all the other pages that do not need to be processed through CF to .html so that you are not needlessly processing static pages through the cf engine.
