Hi all. I wanted to get everyones opinion on this.
I want to have 6 bonded T1's on a 3640 router. It has max memory.

I am wondering if an iMUX connected to the router with a HSSI port would be a better solutions then 6 WIC-1DSU-T1's put directly in the router?

The phone company says they user MLPPP. Will an iMUX do MLPPP? I assume it will take some of the CPU usage off the router, but is it really necessary?

The 6 WIC-1DSU-T1's seems a cheaper solutions to me.

I admit I don't know what an imux is but I do know that if I was entertaining pulling 6 T1's into a building, I'd probably consider a different access technology that would cheaper to install and maintain annually - something like LAN Extension service or Megastream Ethernet. Both of these can deliver a minimum of 10mb WAN capacity, you would just need a spare Ethernet port.
