Hello all,

For about a month I was having problems with inbound mail; I tried everything I could think of and nothting worked. I even did some DNS clean up with my service provider since there was a lot of crap out there and still nothing. However, one day I decided to build a new IMS server and everything started working well.

Now I have a new problem; I cannot send any outgoing mail. The worst part is that I don't even get a return mail, and there is nothing in the outbound queue.

Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Another question for those of you using groupshield exchange email protection... are you guys able to stop the w32badtrans virus? the only reason I know that it's getting by is because I also have norton on the machine and norton seems to pick it up. Groupshield stop others but not w32badtrans.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions and help.

I would turn on diagnostic logging to maximum in the IMS and then view the log files to see if that tells you anything. That way you can at least see what it is doing (and what it is not).

If you're saying you built a new IMS server, and you still have the old IMS server around, check the MTA queues to that other server.
