Hello everyone. Have an IP500 4.2(4), VM Pro and IMS on a Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003 server, , I installed IMS following Avaya's instructions to the "dot". I have the Outlook setup on the IMS Server with the IMS account, I can send emails fine, I setup one of the users on the IMS Admin tool, but if I leave a voicemail on his mailbox it's not sendind the email. Any help would be appreciated.

Does voicemail to email work?

(have you set up the Microsoft patch to allow automated sending of emails)

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Do you mean the SMTP voicemail to email? I haven't tried that since they are going to be using the MAPI for the IMS. I spoke to my customer today and he told me that some of the voicemails are going to the email accounts but not all of them, I want to make sure that all the voicemails are being sent to the users before I proceed with the IMS Client installation on all the computers.

No I meant the MAPI voicemail to email.

>some of the voicemails are going to the email accounts but not all of them

That sounds ok. Are these users programmed with the IMS Admin tool or in the Manager. If in Manager, you need to remove all the voicemail to email settings (or at least turn off the VM to Email)

Make sure that the service account for voicemail has full domain admin rights and is configured as a mail user. USe this account for your outlook

Make sure that you configure outlook correctly
1) cached mode off
2) Compose mode to RTF
3) Untick Use word as editor

All the voicemail to email settings on the Manager are turned off, and I have all the accounts matched to the specific Exchange user on the IMS Admin tool. I'm not sure if the IMS account has full Domain Admin rights, I think is just setup as a user but it has full Admin rights fot the server where IMS is installed. I'll also check those settings on the Outlook and I'll post. Thanks for all your help.

>but it has full Admin rights fot the server where IMS is installed

Nope, It must have Full Domain Admin Rights...
