Early this month I discover that my hard drive had hit almost 100% utilization. After careful study I found out that my IMS log size had increased rapidly. I find really strange why this happen. Could anybody give me a hint why this is happening? Is there any way that I could control and purge this log?

To give you an idea, my exchange server is hosting atleast 1200 mailbox, with IS reaching almost 100 GB already. IMS log size almost 40% - 50% bigger than last month's monitored size.

If it's log files. Do a full backup of the server and the log files will disappear. If you have one server with a IS DB of 100Gb consider buying a new one. It's very hard to maintain such a large IS for example when you will run maintanence work on it. Also, upon IS crash, MS will say that your IS is too large.
