I've setup a test Win XP Client with SP2 RC2 on it. Before installing SP2, the IMS Client worked great on the workstation.
The IMS is 2.1 running with Outlook 2003.
After installing SP2, IMS refuses to login when Outlook is started. It just keeps popping up a network login dialog looing for the user name/domain and password. If you cancel this dialog and wait for Outlook to start, then connect thru the Tools, IMS, Connect menu, there are no errors but messages won't play thru the handset and deleting email won't delete the voicemail. However, marking the email as read/unread will change the status of the voicemail waiting indicator on the set.
Anyone starting to look at SP2? Any suggestions on where to look for this problem?
I'm assuming the RPC and DCOM changes in SP2 are what's causing the problem.
BTW, the XP Firewall is disabled so that is not it.
Thanks,
Chris Zinck
