I'm using Adobe Premiere 6.0 with the Matrox RT2500 plug-ins and it's been going well but I have an "issue." I used to live in Asia, where my wife is from; she brought to the States some of her favorite movie, but they're in PAL format. We have a VCR that plays PAL--we brought it from there--but our television doesn't read PAL correctly. I was thinking maybe I could capture the films into Adobe, then reconfigure somehow and transfer them onto NSTC tapes. Is this possible? I tried capturing, but it only gets sound and no picture at all (wheras on the TV the picture is there but it looks like the V-hold is always off.) Maybe there's some way I'm supposed to reconfigure the capturer so that it reads PAL--the Matrox capture doesn't seem to have that option, but is there a way to turn off Matrox capture and find Adobe's capability to capture PAL? Anyone got any ideas?
