i just upgraded my OS from win2000 to winXP last night, then i created a new profile name as a new user. Outlook starts as a new user and i need to import my files, address book, and contacts from my previous configuration.

* how can i import files, addresses, etc from my previous settings?!?

** im using outlook xp... any particular file or directory to be imported?!?

thnx so much

You can export from Outlook 2000. Use the Import/Export wizard and export to a .PST file

File > Import and Export, export to Personal Folders File (.PST) and follow the Wizard. To import into XP, follow the Wizard and you can usually accept the defaults.

Also, if you're on an Exchange server, you can leave your mailbox alone, in most cases, and just export your Personal Folders to a .PST file. Your mailbox is stored on a server and will remain intact. Just create a new profile on the new box.

Hope this helps. Any other questions, just drop a line.
