Hi,
I'm using quark 5, and I have an EPS that is a black vectored graphic. I'm trying to import it into quark and maintain the transparency. So, I create a graphic box, import the graphic, but quark renders the graphic with a white background, instead of transparent...what do I do?

Also, I have an EPS that is a white graphic! So when I import it into quark, since I can't seem to get the transparency thing working, this is even worse, because the eps shows up as a white box...how can i fix this?!?!?!

Thanks.

First the obvious: make sure the picture box color is set to none rather than white (Item > Modify...)

Assuming this is the case, it probably has to do with the way the EPS file is saved. To preview EPS pictures in your document, Quark uses the built in preview within the EPS file. Go to the original application and try out different saving options relating to previews. If you are working on a Mac, for example, avoid TIFF previews as they don't contain transparancy information.
