We have a lot of data in an issue tracking tool called ClearQuest. We need to export it into Test Director. I have created all the necessary user defined fields in TestDirector. Is there a mapping facility or import facilty in Test Director that I can use to transfer the data across?

Hi Shirley - unless I'm completely missing the point, you shouldn't have to convert/import anything. If you are technically capable of replacing the defects module of TestDirector with ClearQuest, I'd suggest that you try installing the ClearQuest add-in from Mercury on your TestDirector server. This way, you'll be able to access your ClearQuest defect via the Add-in from TestDirector.

If you have ClearQuest 2002 and Mercury 7.6 Enterprise Edition (or higher), here's a link to the Add-in guide that should help you make ClearQuest your defect tracking tool:

I have not installed this particular add-in, so please let me know if this helps.

David
