Importing data causes forms to stop working right

I'm having a strange problem with Access 2002 and was wondering if anyone else has run into this. I have two tables linked with a one-to-many relationship that I need to import data into. One is a Bill of Ladings header table and the other is the BOL detail table. I've used 2 append queries to do so from temporary tables. Once the append queries are run I can look the data up in the BOL header and BOL detail tables and they both look fine.

After I import the data I start getting problems with my forms set up to view the data. The form displays the Header information with a linked subform showing the Detail information. The problem is that it appears to be showing the same data multiple times. One of my forms, for example, queries the user for a BOL number. With certian BOL numbers just imported the navigation buttons at the bottom of the form show 2 records. The BOL number is my primary key for my Header table, so there shouldn't be 2 BOL's with the same number. When I click the navigation to move to the second record, Access crashes, wants to send an error report to Microsoft, and backs up the database.

Is this a bug in Access? Has anyone seen this before? I appreciate any help.

I had the same prob in A2002. I had a form with a subform in datasheet view which after a few modifications did the same thing. I deleted the form and designed it from scratch. It solved the prob. and has not done it since. Exactly what the problem was, I don't have a clue (-: Remember amateurs built the ark - professionals built the Titanic
