Hi there, I've searched for this and did find some helpful posts, but wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have a delimited text file with 104,000 records. It will not fit into one spreadsheet, but when I try to "start import at row 65,000" I get the error "integer is not valid" and the highest it'll go is 32,7675. I'm not very familiar with importing data into Excel as it is so this just throws me. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Is there a reason why you can't just import into Access? It is better built for data this size.

My next question, assuming the former is no to access, would be are there field headers in this text file?

If not, I would suggest splitting it up into like 3-4 text files, so that each can be imported as smaller amounts of data. Each can go to their own worksheet.

Access is the way to go but the precise reason that your current routine won't work is that integers are limited to 32,767 - if you want to go higher than that, you must declare your variable as LONG

Have a look in the help files for Excel or Access - key words:
Data Type
