IMPORT TWAIN HP SCANNER PROBLEM

HI, I do a lot of scanning with out needing to alter settings. I have recently installed a new hard drive and since I have reinstalled software and every time I try to import a scan the scanner has to load and rescan again. 2 scans instead of one as it was before. Scanner is HP 4300C. Any ideas TLP

If I understand you correctly, you do a scan from PSP, then when you send the scan to PSP it starts the scanning over and then sends (imports) the scan into PSP?

Thanks Mike thats correct. I am importing the scan into PSP. It gives programme control to the scanner. Alternative would be to scan direct into PSP from the scanner but I don't know how to get scanner to recognise PSP, Thanks TLP

That sounds really strange. It might be the driver. You might consider going to the hp site and downloading the most current driver for your scanner and os.

Thanks Mike. I tried that if anything that made it worse. I kept getting error messages that the scanner is not responding but if I kept trying it came good. I uninstalled and relaoded the original software which stopped that problem. Cheers TLP
