Hi,
Is there a way to import Lotus Approach tables into Access 2002 (other than buying the Lotus SmartSuite)?
Thanks,
John

John -- Approach, wow. I used to use that a lot (Approach 96). That was before my employer switched to Office. If I remember right we had .apr files and .dbf files. The .apr's contained formating, forms, and I think report data. You should be able to direct import or link the .dbf files by right clicking the blank area in the tables window. No idea how to crack the .apr file. -- Rap

When I try to import the .dbf file, Access thinks it is a DBaseIII, DBaseIV or DBase5 file, and can't open it.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
John

Hmm, tough one. I normally just go thru the tables window (right click, select import) and pick the dbase option that works. Is there a chance that the .dbf file is corrupted? Do you have another copy you can try? -- Rap
