All,

First, I thought I submitted this yesterday, but do not see it in the forum or under my threads, so apologize if it is redundant.

What I am looking for is a way to include the import/export specifications when I distribute an app. The app will be on users machines in sites around the world, so having to add it manually on each machine does not make sense. I have read several threads here about copying to another database, but they all seem to be around on the same machine. M/S search came up with nothing. Any clues if what I am asking about is possible.

In summary - want to include in the app the import/export specifications file needed to import a data file.

Thanks in advance.

The import specifications are saved in two system tables in Access these are MsysIMEXColumns and MsysIMEXSpecs. You can transfer import / export specifications from database to database using the Options button on the File->Get External Data->Import window.
