Import Contact for Outlook Error

Sometime we import individual contacts into CRM from Outlook Contacts, and we
get this error:

This item type is not valid for promotion to Microsoft CRM.

Any reason why? Thanks

we had something similar after we had installed - check the core security - some of our user's roles had been changed (they were in a different BU and things were not inheriting the way we had hoped).

we just found out the the message class in each contact must be 'ipm.contact'
