Hello All,

After decompiling a database with a shortcut as this:
"C:\Pathto\MSACCESS.EXE" "d:\Pathto\my.mdb" /decompile

and compacting twice (in Access 97 through 2003), is
it necessary to import any hidden or system tables
objects into a new MDB (by temporarily renaming objects
without msys prefix)?

MSysACEs, MSysModules, MSysModules2, MSysObjects,
MSysQueries and MSysRelationships appear in a blank db,
but not MSysIMEXColumns or MSysIMEXSpecs.

Thanks.
John

MSysIMEXColumns and MSysIMEXSpecs are the tables holding your Import/Export specifications.

Hope This Helps, PH.

No.

Messages indicating such, is probably symptoms of other kinds of corruptionthan can be repaired through decompile. You might want to have a read at perhaps in perticular the corruption symptoms page, but probably also pages linking to different methods and utilitlies to recover.
