I have a rather large database in Act!, which I am not very familiar with. I would like to import the contact list AS WELL AS all of the notes for each contact. I figured out how to export the contact list to a text file and import that into Access, but each contact has A LOT of notes which need to be imported as well. If anyone can offer any assistance it would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi Sotrm75m

Did you ever get a resolution to you Act converstion problem?

I too need to convert ACT to Access. And if you don't mind my asking; how did you manage to convert the ACT tables to text?

Any helpful hints you can pass along are greatly appreciated.

Be well,
Trudye

Maybe this helps, it worked for me:

In ACT 2000: File>Data Exchange>Export, *.dbf

In Access 2000: File>Get External Data>Import DBASE5*.dbf

Used the standard linking routine in access 2000 on my act 6 database and got the error message "index not found" I reindexed and still get message. The demo file links fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Kyle
