implementing a flash movie in dreamweaver 1

I am new to the designer world and i am not able to see the flash movie i placed on my page. i exported the file from flash. i inserted the swf file but for some reason i can't see the images. I just see the flash symbol. please let me know what i am doing wrong. do i have to install flash plug-ins on the server where the files are? please help

Dreamweaver will not play the flash movie in its design view. If you get the flash symbol then it was correctly inserted. Open your webpage in a browser and the flash movie should play.

ok now i can sleep better knowing that i inserted right, but I view in the browser the only thing that is poping up is the control and can't see the image. Do I need to install a plug in on the server that the files are in?

Unless you are looking at the page using a browser on the server, then no.

Does your browser have the correct plugins?

ok i probably need to get plugins for the browser because it is a brand new server for my job and they are running on 2008 i don't think they installed that yet. i will try to view it local instead of remotely.
