My roomate is having a problem displaying some images in Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Recently alot of images on certain website's images don't load. It is not all only certain ones. excite.com news images listed in the center don't show up on the home page but the rest do! This happens in both browsers. It is a DELL XPS system so we have rolled back to before this was happening and it still does.

We have Comcast Cable into a router with 2 machines. Mine displays images just fine so it isn't the firewall in the Linksys router.

This happens on some sites but not all. Thanks in advance!

Jon

There are a number of possibilities, but because it is only some, my first suspicion would be Spybot & Destroy (or some other spyware preventer that modifies the hosts file).

Is it the same image file extension or does the extension vary? What are you seeing instead of the image?
