Hi,
It might prove hard to communicate with an OCR program to retrieve the OCR'd text, you'd have to use OLE and the OCR program would have to support it.
If you can afford it (!) you might want to think about using an Imaging ActiveX component which supports OCR, this would be a bit like using the VB Picture Box but it'd have an OCR command (plus hundreds of others no doubt). We use one from and I think they have an OCR plug-in.
