When I open a JPEG image, in Corel Photo Paint 7 or Draw, from my digital camera (Kodak 3400) the image size is about 16" X 24". I am unable to find how to get this down to, say, 4" X 6" when I open or import it. I don't want to have to resample each image in Paint to get it to this size. I want snapshot size not posters. Thanks õ¿õ

To do it in DRAW do the following:
Create a new document with a page size of 6" x 4" inches (or whatever). Then click on the import button and then select the image you want and click "Import" but then instead of just clicking on the page to place the picture, do this: Click once at the top left corner of the page AND hold the left mouse button down and then drag to the bottom right corner. This way all your 1800 x 1200 pixel image will be squeezed into 6 by 4 inches giving you a high resolution (300dpi) image. If you don't need 300dpi you could then of course resample to a lower resolution but keep the image the same physical size but smaller file size.

To do it in PHOTO-PAINT is very similar:
Click on the button to create a new image and set the page size to 6 by 4 inches and set the resolution to 300dpi Joe Bananas

Ignore that last one, I wasn't finished it!

To do it in PHOTO-PAINT is very similar:
Click on the button to create a new image and set the page size to 6 by 4 inches and set the resolution to 300dpi then click OK to create the blank page then do as before: Select "Import" and then select the correct photo and then click in one corner and drag to the other to create the image. Another way to do this in Photopaint is to go to Tools | Options | Workspace | General | Opening Zoom, then choose the Best Fit option which will open all images in the fit to page mode
