image quality and size

Hi,

We have a application requirement, which is as follows
* The desktop needs to be captured and shared over internet. The server used will be IIS.
* At least two frames per second needs to captured and transmitted.
* A desktop application captures the desktop image and transmits it over the net using http. On the other end, another application queries for the image and displays it.


With these requirements in mind, I would like to know the following


* Which is the best image compression technique that can be used?
* Is there any proprietary image compression technique which can be
used to achieve the above


requirements?
