Image processing librarys?

Hello everyone,

I am looking around for an image processing library (DLL - which allows me to use it in a couple of languages) for use primarily from VB 6.

Specifically I am looking for blob analysis and a full range of convolutions pre-built into the library.

Has anyone got any experience of using any such library.

I am not necessarily looking for shareware/freeware. Although it would be nice

or Componentsource for the Active X. I have seen a couple on there. I'm not sure how good they are though.
