Image isn't transparent once added to DW

I've created an image in Photoshop and saved it as a .png file so that it would show the transparency. I imported the fireworks file to dreamweaver, and now the image is no longer transparent. How can I get this to work the way I want it to?

I saved as gif file instead, it works. You can try it too.

When I add the fireworks gif into Dreamweaver it looks how it should, however when I look at it on the web, the image is no longer transparent.

Internet Explorer doesn't work with transparency in PNG images.

leave FW out of it all...just insert the .gif as any other image...
