how can i set an image as color for my text?

Do you mean take a color from an image and apply it to text? If so, use the eyedropper tool.

And if you mean that you want an image to be the "color" of your text, you'll need to use another application (like Photoshop) and then import the results.

Hi,

Just a remark to the reply Genimuse.
You don't have to use another application for that effect.
You select your text blackn convert it to outlines.
Select the image you want to use and place it in your document.
Then select the image copy it, then select your outlines text and go to the 'edit' menu and select 'paste inside'.
