Cisco 3745, 2 T1 ATM Ima's installed. One VC runs Clean, the other generates constant CRC errors. We have had the circuit checked by the phone company many times. The other end of the circuit is a Nortel Passport Switch which is then connected to a Nortel BCN type router. We have many other Cisco routers connected the same way that are not showing this steady increase of CRC's. If I run a ping from the Cisco router, across the link, to a device on the other side of the Nortel router it will run fine for 500~1000 pings then basically fall apart and start timing out etc etc. The other VC in the Cisco connects to another Nortel box at a "back-up" office. Everything runs clean there. I've done all I know regarding PCR and SCR checking and all seems OK. Might I have a bad Cisco router? Bad Nortel? I've tried many different combinations to see if I could stop or at least slow down the CRC error counters but to no avail. The circuit that is generating these errors is very quick, 12 MS back to the main Nortel router. All my other similarly attched Ciscos run at 30 MS or more. help :-0
