I'm having an issue with MS MovieMaker 2. It was working for awhile but crashing often. This was caused by a driver file cmaudio.ax. As I have CMedia disabled on my motherboard, I removed these drivers. Now MS Moviemaker will not render video at all. Apparently it's looking for that driver.

I've tried to uninstall/reinstall the program so it would find new drivers, but there is no uninstall.

Ideas?

One way of uninstalling Movie Maker 2 might be to re-install XP from the CD (assuming that it has Movie Maker 1 on it) then re-install Mover Maker 2.

You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.

Other options.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.
