I generated a report in MS-Access for a friend, and he messed with it somehow to make it print blank pages inbetween every printed page. The page counter at the bottom doesn't count the blank pages either. I can't seem to find what is causing this. Can you help? Probably something simple that I'm trying to make hard.

Thanks,
Richard

He probably didn't intentionally make it print blank pages. The size capabilities of documents (and reports) can vary greatly between, for instance, a home-version-type printer like an Epson 880 and an HP 8000 that you might use at work. If I set my report up for my 880 and print to 8000, I'm okay. But if I set it up for the 8000 and print to 880, I could be in trouble. Basically, the more you pay for the printer, the closer to the edge of the paper you can print. More than likely, you just need to increase your bottom margin a bit. Or maybe check in the properties of the header/detail/footer/other sections of your report to make sure the height isn't greater than 11" including margins; or the width isn't greater than 8.5" including margins.

Hope this helps!

Richard,
You could have a common problem. If you are using the insert page break feature in your report, placing it in certain places will cause this problem.

What version are you using?
If you are using page breaks, did you insert them using the button on the toolbar, or the properties of the field?

Check the design view of the report. Is there extra space to the right or the bottom of the report that is not covered with controls? If so, drag the extra space closer to the controls.

Please post back with results. . .
