Problem: Spot color base, outlined floret with dropshadow. Dropshadow made from 3.2 pixel gausion blur of 2.7 point lines. This rastorizes the shadow. When RIPped to Scitex Brisque Extreme a white box shows around the drop shadow. The issue is transparancy! This job has to be delivered Thursday! I have extracted the floret, made a new file then placed paths in Pshop 6. Created drop shadow at 90 degrees to make it look exactly like the illustrator shadow, however this is CMYK and not spot. I tried adding spot channels LAYERS grayed! Is there an easy fix this nightmare?

If you are using a Mac, try chucking the illustrator preferences out and restarting the app, we had this the other day and it seems to work. Also try running it from another machine.
The Photoshop issue, are you changing the file to Multichannel under the image/mode menu and saving as a DCS 2.0 eps this would work.
