75% of the time when I try to print to our server printers I get illegal operation. I have to shut down and reboot.
Very frustrating.
The printers are HP2100TN and HP4050.
Everyone else can print to them just fine, except one other person who is having the same problem that I am.

Its not every time but almost every time.

I reloaded the print drivers several times.
Any suggestions??

Thank you.

there is a problem with the spoolss.dll file.
a new version of the file fixes this problem. the older spoolss.dll file will also cause hanging when printing and installed printers disappearing until a restart occurs.
i would check the dates on your machines. if your machine has the older copy, update it with the newer one. one hint-you need to boot with a floppy to replace or boot to dos. windows uses the spoolss.dll file from the beginning of the boot.

Thanks for the help.
It seems to have worked, at least made it alot better.
