Illegal IO address?

I was having trouble installing my soundcard software (Soundblaster 5.1 live xp drivers from creative) and one of the utilities that comes with it kept crashing. So I was digging around in the event viewer looking for errors and I found a continual reference to "illegal port io addresses (0xcfc and 0xcf8)" does anybody know what the cuase of these errors is or if they're evena big deal? Thanks.

If your talking about ACPI read write errors. Sometimes they are fatal and some machines just carry on as if nothing is wrong.
