Hi all,
Win2003 is giving me terrible trouble with permissions accees to websites on the server.

From reading up on this I need to Give permission on my sites to the group IIS_WPG which SHOULD contain the Network Service account..
However my IIS_WPG has NO members and when I try to add network service to this group I Can not finD it?
This is from within Activer Directory.

On another win2003 machine I have where there is No Active directory the IIS_WPG Contains the account
NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE

Can someone tell me where this account is ?

Ray..

rwaldron,
Not sure if this is what your asking, but I'll take a stab at it.

The Network Service account is not controlled by AD, it is a local account on each individual machine.

If you Right Click on My Computer, open Manage, Local Users and Groups, Groups, double click on the IIS_WPG Group, select ADD, you want to look in the local machine and you should see the Network Service account.

I hope this helps.
