Running 2 websites using host headers. Also have DNS running & put A records for each to point to server. Using win2k adv Server 2000. Only problem is that from time to time neither page will show with "Can't see pAge" Error, one of them will display OK or both will display OK. But I keep getting this problem occuring. Any help would be appreciated.

Too little information presented to be able to determine the problem.

Here's the situation, I have 2 websites running on my server on Win2000AdvancedServer. I'm running my own DNS through Win2000AdvServer. On the DNS, I have records created to point to my server. I'm using DSL connection with a Linksys Router. I'm using IIS 5 to run the website. By the way the website is . I'm only using one IP which is static. I have added a second website using the host headers in IIS5. I also created records in DNS to point to the server as well. I'm assuming that the host headers are what distinguishes the two websites even though they use the same IP. I am using 2 nameservers, one is my server and the other is graniteacnyon.com My question is that from time to time I get problems not being able to see these two websites. There are also times when I can only see one of them. My question is why this is happening? Is it because of the router? also can it be that in IIS, should one website use the "default.htm" file and the other the "index.htm" file as the first page that is brought up by IIS for each.

When you can't connect to the sites from the internet, can you successfully connect from your LAN? If so, then your router may be the problem.

Yes on my LAN I can see the sites. So it maybe the router. So I may have to connect server directly to DLS modem. This way I take out router. thnx

Sorry for the absence. On vacation but here is a question. I'm still having issues with not being able to see certain sites. I do believe it is the router. What if I used a switch hub? Would it be the same as the router or would a hub be less likely to cause interference in name resolution for my sites?
