WHen I first install IIS on win2k, it works fine, however as soon as it crashes or I restart PC, It does nothing when I double click on IIS in administrative tool. It seems like every time i double click the IIS icon, i starts another mmc in task manager / processes.

I have end tasked all mmc and tried to open IIS again, still does nothing. My PC also crashes, so I try to restart, while closing all program, it prompts me to save mmc file (.msc)???

please help me get IIS to be more stable.

Thanks

Actually, my company just upgraded from NT to 2000Pro yesterday, and now I can't get my instance of IIS to run, either. I only use it for local development, but it is a pain--when I double-click my systray icon, my Personal Web Manager interface pops up, and nothing happens when I click the start button. I seem to sometimes run, then when I stop it, I can't restart it. I also did a quick *.log search to try and find an erro rlog of some sort, and couldn't find one.

BTW, sorry I can't offer any help for you, I just also wanted get in on this--chances are whatever plagues me is also affecting you!
