Hey,

I installed IIS, I've got the "Inetpub" directory and everything else. But when I browse to " nothing happens - page not found errors.
I can't run my .asp scripts either - just says not found.
How do I get IIS working in Win2000 ?

Thanks,
karmafree.

Just as a starter, are you sure that the IIS service and the services are started. You will get page not displayed message if these services are not running.

Hey,

I'm not sure what I did, but
I managed to get it working!
Just in case, for reference;
how do you start and stop
the service?

Thanks you,
karmfree.

Under the control panel folder you would click on Administrative Tools, then Services and select the service you want to start or stop and click on the Start or Stop service button on the right.

Hey,

Thanks! all works, except one thing, when I type it asks for a username and password. What is this username and password? I am logged in as Administrator with no password.

Thanks,
karmafree.

Try using the same as what you have logged in as. If not you can change the security properties for the site using IIS manager console.
