OK, like every 2 seconds IIS (W3SVC) is tossing out this same error....

The server was unable to read the file C:\WINNT\help\iisHelp\common\401-1.htm. The file does not exist.

I tried just making the file to shut it up, but it keeps popping up with the error. I tried adding the IIS documentation through Add/Remove programs, but it didn't help. Any idea's on how to stop this? Thanks. Darrell Mozingo

If it works for you..CAn you try unistalling IIS, and installing it again? A+, MCP, CCNA

Keep fighting for your knowledge!

I'd really rather not... I have a lot of webs there with a lot of different settings. Is there perhaps a way to export the settings for all the webs to a file and import them again later somehow? Darrell Mozingo

The file 401 is the one with "you are not authorised to view that page".
Why is this invoked by your IIS? And how? Have you an IIS application that is running?
And, ok, the system is trying to show you that page but it seems that cannot be found. Check in the site properties your "Custom Error" section. Maybe you have there an invalid path. Gia Betiu
