Hello all, I'm trying to load CF onto a clean install of Windows 2000 Server (I've done this several times before). When first bringing up CF where you verify the installation I get a page that says that an NT error 2 has occured. When I look in computer management>services I see that the CF application server and the CF RDS services haven't started - and they won't start when I try to force them up.

I have reloaded CF and now W2kServer from scratch. Same problem.

I had Windows 2000 Pro running on this machine yesterday and CF ran fine. The box has 256meg of memory and plenty of horsepower for W2k Server. Any ideas?

Peace
BT

Check the account that you have the Cold Fusion service running under. By default, this is the system account and it may not have enough rights to run as a service or some other rights. Try setting up a user with Admin rights and have cold Fusion run under that account.

Go into services and click Start on the Cold Fusion Application Service -- if you get an error, check the event viewer for what kind of error it is getting.

HTH,
Tim P.
