IIS Error Redirects

Has anyone had any success getting an IIS "Custom Errors" webpage to execute as a CF page (in other words, replacing one of the standard MS pages that gets displayed when a page cannot be found with a customized CF file)? I can get it to run the page, however, it only displays it as an HTML file---it doesn't execute the page as a CF file.

We are in the process of migrating a bunch of sites to a new server and some of the URLs will be changing. I wanted to create a custom redirect page to replace the standard MS 404b.htm file that gets displayed when a page cannot be found. I want it to interpret the old link that was attempted and then display a page with the new link and a message to "update your links." Please note that I know that you can do this with the CF Administrator to a certain extent (e.g. "Missing Template Handler") or with custom code, however, this migration spans multiple sites, some of which aren't even CF based so the IIS route is the way we would need to go.

Any ideas? Has anyone ever tried anything similar? Thanks.

Paul.

Are you putting the CF page in the directory where the old 404 page is (C:\WINNT\...), or are you leaving it under and changing the path in the IIS properties?

If your .cfm page is not under I don't believe ColdFusion is going to process it.

Hope This Helps!

No, the page is under executes correctly if I use the URL in IE. It just won't when IIS redirects to it.... Thanks though.
