I am using IIS with W2K on my local machine - basically use it to test out coldfusion sites as I develop them.

Suddenly for no reason IIS has just crashed. I cannot even see a simple html page within the directory.

I tried accessing Internet Services Manager - but clicking on that icon in the Administrative Tools Section does not open anything. That option seems to be dead.

I tried to stop IIS Admin Service through the Service(Local) option in Administrative Tools but got an error saying the program failed to respond within an appropriate period of time.

Any suggestions on what I can do? Should I try to just reinstall IIS?

Reboot?

Chris.

Indifference will be the downfall of mankind, but who cares?

Thanks for responding - but I have rebooted a number of times!
