Hello friends:
I have WinXP Professional, running IIS v5.1. I'm interested in using Microsoft's SMTP service instead of my ISP's SMTP server to send email messages. Right now, I'm using ArgoSoft Mail Server, and it works great. I provide an external DNS server, and it automatically relays messages to other domains.
I would like to do the same with the SMTP service, but am really unsure how to configure it. Would someone be able to help me with this? I'm guessing that there is configuration needed in the Delivery tab of the SMTP server properties - Outbound Security, Outbound Connections and Advanced. I'm not sure what a Masquerade domain and a Smart Host are, which I'm sure is part of the problem.
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give me.
Thanks much!
Michael.
