We have a box running Windows Advanced Server 2000 and IIS 5.0. The web site is being hosted by a client that is VERY tight with their network. When accessing the web site we are getting an error. Sometimes the default error page is displayed stating that the "page could not be found due to an internal server error". Other times we get a page that says "requested resource is in use". After encountering either one of these errors, we clicked to refresh button on the browser and 'sometimes' the page was displayed correctly. The listed the error as HTTP 500 and the windows 200 status code as 87. These errors occurred randomly, but once the first error occurred it persisted for quite a while. As I mentioned above, the client is very tight with their network and it seems that these errors have occurred whenever they "work" on their network. They also have serious DNS issues, which we think might be affecting the site as well. This is all the information we can gather from these errors. While I've stated a lot of possible causes for these errors I'm not sure exactly what is causing the problem. Has anyone else run across this before? Any help would be appreciated. If further information is needed, let me know.
