If you split your .mdb and you want your front end 1

Hi All,
If you split your mdb and you want the front end to be a mde file, can that be linked to your back end if you want to keep the back end as a mdb?

If the FE and BE are both mde files does that cause any
problems with adding/modifying records in the BE?

Yes - an .mde front end can be linked to a .mdb backend.

Yes - you can make both the front end and the back end into .mde's but there would be no advantage to the backend as the .mde in designed to protect forms, queries, modules etc.. and code in general and in principle there should not be any of this in the backend.
